Horsey Time!

Today Holden had some horsey time of his own! The oversized stuffed horse was given to him by his Auntie Rhea at his first baby shower. We are looking forward to when he can sit up on his own and really ride 'em cowboy!


Last week's county fair was a great success! Erin's team won the competition with Erin learning and riding the freestyle for the first time! Dave and Holden hung out while Erin rode and they did great! The team even threw a little baby shower with cake and wonderful gifts. Here are some pictures of the shower.

Eat, Sleep and Play!

That's pretty much the schedule... We should probably add another eat in there... wake, eat, sleep, wake, eat and play. That's more like it! Of course posing for the camera should be in there too! Not much new this week, we are taking Holden to his first county fair on Sat. Erin's drill team has their annual competition at the Clark County Fair Sat. starting at 11 am with the short program and again at 5:00pm with the freestyle. We will be hanging around the fair all day and can be found at the arena or by the stalls around those times if anyone wants to come down and watch. Shake it Baby!

So its the talk of the town... Our little earthquake last night woke the whole family. Holden fussed for about 5 seconds then fell right back asleep, but it took us a few minutes at least. The 3.8 rumbled thru jolting everything but nothing was disrupted but our sleep. Erin's first reaction was to call her parents, but as it was 1:40 am she resisted. It was Dave's first earthquake and he wasn't sure what to think at first, it didn't help that when you wake up to the phenomenon you think you dreamed it at first. When we turned on the news this morning we learned that the epicenter was pretty much right under Erin's folks house! Andy answered the phone, "Good morning from the epicenter!" They happened to be awake when the earthquake struck and at first thought Mt. St. Helens had erupted again. Then maybe an explosion outside but no sirens were heard. Bruiser slept thru the entire thing being a relatively calm chihuahua.
Holden's new accomplishment this week has been sleeping all night!!! He has slept from his last feeding at 11ish pm till about 6 am! He is also sitting up like a big boy with a little support. His is resembling a bobble head less and less each day. And here are some more cute pictures of our little smiley boy.
